[10:24] <N3sh108> hello! I just discovered jython and it sounds great
[10:25] <N3sh108> I need to execute a couple of functions in Java from a python project without having the user install python on their system. Is it possible to actually execute a specific python file/function?
[10:26] <agronholm> N3sh108: so you're mandating a java installation but not a python installation?
[10:27] <N3sh108> let???s step back: I want to have a Java application which can run a python script while being system agnostic.
[10:28] <N3sh108> I could either: tell the user to install python. Bundle python in my program. Use jython.
[10:28] <agronholm> I thought you had a python project from which you wanted to call a couple of java functions
[10:29] <N3sh108> nope, there is this tool that I need to use which is only in python. It???s rather simple and I could even get down to rewrite it myself but I am checking and seeing what my options are
[10:29] <N3sh108> the main project is in Java
[10:29] <agronholm> I see
[10:29] <agronholm> in that case it might work for you
[10:29] <agronholm> does the script need to interact with java much?
