[10:07] <Omeil> Hi, I'm using an IDE called JES Jython Environment for Students, its mainly a image manipulation IDE and I am having issues with a loop in my program, I'm trying to split an image into multiple piece but i am getting a error "getPixel(picture,x,y): y (= 13) is less than 0 or bigger than the height (= 12)" which I understand that the loop is out from one pixel, but I can't seem to find it.

[11:04] <linoor> hey guys, is it normal that in jython 2.7.0 I can't import module encodings?

[11:15] <javahorn> Hello
[11:15] <javahorn> Websphere has Single class loader for application and Class loader for each WAR file in application. while latter is default. But perforce, we have to switch to first one as one jar(websphere) is in conflict with cxf at our end. This fails the automation of deployment. Anything can be done at Deployment Descriptor to auotmate it.

[13:25] <robbyoconnor> You might have better luck on Stackoverflow
[13:29] <javahorn> Thanks robbyoconnor
[13:29] <javahorn> just wanted to know
[13:29] <javahorn> jython can be of help or not
[13:29] <javahorn> as
[13:29] <javahorn> http://www-01.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSAW57_8.5.5/com.ibm.websphere.nd.doc/ae/trun_classload_entapp.html?cp=SSAW57_8.5.5%2F1-8-2-5-2

[13:48] <mbooth> javahorn: I am not sure how this is related to jython :-/
[14:03] <javahorn> Hi mbooth
[14:03] <javahorn> I donot know jython
[14:03] <javahorn> :(
[14:04] <javahorn> but it says, those scripts in the link, are jython?
[14:05] <mbooth> javahorn: What scripts? I see no mention of jython
[14:06] <mbooth> javahorn: You should probably contact your IBM technical support rep
[14:07] <javahorn> Thanks mbooth , just for my clarity , is the following in jython?
[14:07] <javahorn> http://www.webspheretools.com/sites/webspheretools.nsf/docs/jacl%20script%20to%20deploy%20ear%20file
[14:07] <mbooth> javahorn: No, that is not jython... or even python
[14:08] <mbooth> javahorn: That is a "JACL" script
[14:08] <javahorn> oh!!
[14:08] <javahorn> http://stackoverflow.com/questions/813202/can-i-set-the-classloader-policy-for-websphere-in-the-ibm-web-bnd-xmi-file
[14:09] <javahorn> but surely it is jython, in the second half
[14:10] <mbooth> javahorn: If you are paying for websphere, you will get better answers from IBM support
[14:10] <mbooth> (It's what you pay them for)
[14:10] <javahorn> Thanks mbooth , challenge is that i am NOT paying anything to IBM
[14:11] <javahorn> in fact, i am not even using websphere, personally
[14:12] <javahorn> it is just that , very remotely, our app has got dependency on websphere as that is the app server customer has and our war is failing automation
[14:12] * eatkin (~eatkin@166.70.212.121) Quit (Ping timeout: 255 seconds)
[14:13] <mbooth> So someone *is* paying for websphere then ;-)
[14:14] <javahorn> mbooth: you do any deployment?
[14:14] <mbooth> No, but then this is not an app server support channel
[14:15] * javahorn yes, that someone has NO concern How our app runs!
[14:15] <javahorn> yes mbooth :fair point
[14:18] <javahorn> Jython has commercial potential,as python has?
[14:18] <mbooth> javahorn: I'm sure is used in many commercial situations, yes.
[14:19] <javahorn> Lovely mbooth
[14:19] <javahorn> best way to start ie basic setup etc?
[14:19] <javahorn> any link?
[14:20] <xemdetia> http://www.jython.org/jythonbook/en/1.0/
[14:20] <xemdetia> Still, if it has to do with the interaction of your war and WAS specifically and it deploys fine on tomcat
[14:21] <xemdetia> and you don't use jython
[14:21] <xemdetia> not sure what help you expect from here
[14:21] <mbooth> javahorn: https://wiki.python.org/jython/LearningJython
[14:21] <xemdetia> you can try using was liberty core I guess? http://www-03.ibm.com/software/products/en/appserv-was-liberty-core
[14:22] <javahorn> Thanks xemdetia mbooth : i have done bit of Python, and in fact, i have to start it again, in few months, so will like to know reptiles more !
[14:22] <javahorn> And again thanks xemdetia for the link, having a look
